PTFE/TEFLON
Teflon® is the trademarked name given by the Du Pont company for the invention of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). PTFE, classified under plastics, belongs to the fluoropolymer category. In short, PTFE (or Teflon®) is a heat-resistant plastic. There are various color options available for PTFE. You can visit our color chart sections for more information.
PTFE is also categorized based on the application:
ROLLER APPLICATION
The roller coating technique was first developed in Italy in the late 1970s, initially aimed at the furniture industry and later widely adopted in the kitchenware sector. Its major advantages include significant paint savings (around 70% compared to spray coating due to the absence of overspray) and the ability to support high-volume production. For manufacturers supplying products to supermarkets and chain stores, roller lines provide a substantial competitive edge by enabling the production of more economical products.
With extensive experience and expertise in roller coatings, our company is the top choice for firms utilizing this technology. In Turkey, where the kitchenware sector is rapidly advancing, a substantial increase in the number of roller lines and, consequently, production volumes is anticipated in the coming years.
SPRAY APPLICATION
PTFE can also be applied using the traditional spray method. Depending on the control type, both manual and robotic spray applications can be used.
